Punch Card Voting


VOTING ON THE PUNCH CARD VOTE RECORDER
STEP 1STEP 1
Slide the ballot card all the way in the Vote Recorder, using both hands.
STEP 2STEP 2
Be sure the two holes at the top of the card fit over the two posts on the Vote Recorder.
STEP 3STEP 3
To vote
, hold the Punch vertically and push straight down through the card for each of your choices. Vote all pages. Use the punch provided.

Do not use pen or pencil.

STEP 4STEP 4
Slide the card out of the Vote Recorder after voting and slip it into the envelope with stub exposed, close flap.

If you make a mistake, you may exchange it for another ballot.

If you would like a demonstration of voting using the Vote Recorder, ask one of the election officers in your precinct, they will be happy to show you.

WRITE-IN VOTING

Write-in votes are only acceptable for those offices where:
  • There is a declared write-in candidate
  • No candidates have filed for the office
  • There are less than the number of candidates required to be selected

You may place your vote for a Write-in Candidate on the inside of the Official Ballot Card Envelope.

To vote for a person not on the ballot, write the Title of the Office and the Name of the Write-in Candidate on the lines provided and place an "X" in the box opposite.

Below is an example of the space provided for Write-in votes inside the Official Ballot Card Envelope.
