Directions to Jackson Courthouse

FROM CAPE GIRARDEAU: Take Kingshighway (Hwy 61) to Jackson. It is approximately 8 miles from Cape Girardeau to Jackson. Turn right at the stop light at the intersection with Hope Street. (The Jackson Police Department and Fire Department is at one corner of this intersection; Sonic Drive-in is visible to the right at this intersection.) Travel .4 of a mile to the next stop sign (the intersection with Main Street) and you will see the Courthouse up on the hill to the left.

FROM ST. LOUIS: Take I-55 south from St. Louis. Exit at the Fruitland/Jackson exit (Exit 105) onto Highway 61. Turn right. Travel about 3.5 miles and you will dead-end right into the Courthouse Square.

FROM MEMPHIS: Travel north on I-55. Take the Cape Girardeau/Jackson exit (Exit 99) and turn left onto Highway 61. Proceed 4.1 miles to the stop light at the intersection with Hope Street and turn right on Hope Street at this stop light. (The Jackson Police Department and Fire Department is at one corner of this intersection; Sonic Drive-in is visible to the right at this intersection.) Travel .4 of a mile to the next stop sign (Main Street) and you will see the Courthouse up on the hill to the left.

Directions to the Common Pleas Courthouse in Cape Girardeau

FROM JACKSON: Take Jackson Boulevard (Highway 61) to Cape Girardeau, where it will have turned into Kingshighway. Turn left onto Broadway. (A Burger King is at this intersection.) Take Broadway all the way downtown (2 miles) until the Mississippi River is visible. Turn right onto Lorimier Street. (The Southeast Missourian newspaper building will be on your right at this intersection; the KFVS-TV tower is right across the street.) Proceed less than one block and you will see the back of the Common Pleas Courthouse on your left.
