
JOHN A. SNIDER
1887 - 1890, 1893 - 1896
| John A. Snider, the fifth prosecuting attorney, was born in the Whitewater area on March 7, 1860, and was educated in Millersville High School, Southeast Missouri State Normal School, and the University of Missouri law school, graduating in 1886. He was prosecuting attorney for four terms. He was Cape Girardeau Common Pleas Judge from 1901 to 1905 and from 1916 to 1924. He was the Republican nominee for Congress in 1896. He lived in Jackson and was extensively involved in farming and banking, as well as in law. |
