Michael Mueth joined Morley Swingle's staff at the Cape Girardeau
County Prosecuting Attorney's Office on Feburary 1, 2007. Mueth graduated
from Notre Dame Law School in May of 2006 and passed the bar examination
in July of the same year. He was sworn in as an attorney on October
12, 2006 in Jefferson City.
Mueth is originally from Crestwood, Missouri in suburban St. Louis.
He graduated from Indiana University with a degree in journalism in
2003. At Notre Dame, he was active in the Public Interest Law Forum
and Trial Advocacy. During the summers, he interned with the St. Louis
Circuit Attorney's Office and the United States Attorney's Office
for the Southern District of Illinois.
At the prosecutor's office, Mueth handles a wide variety of cases,
including everything from assault and DWI to stealing and the occasional
unlawfully remaining upon a conservation area. When not working, Mueth
enjoys reading, biking, traveling and watching IU's basketball team
as it heads for its sixth national championship. He is engaged to
be married in April of 2007.
