Mississippi River Hills
Association
"Working to educate the public about locally produced
agricultural products, foods, wines, arts, crafts, and cultural
assets within the Mississippi River Hills region in order to protect
and enhance these resources for future generations."
The
Mississippi River Hills is two things: a place, and association
of people who work together to promote and protect that place
and the products produced there.
This distinct ecological region
of river bluffs and limestone runs along the Mississippi River
from just south of St. Louis and to the start of the delta and
the
Missouri Bootheel.
The
Mississippi River Hills Association (MRHA) seeks to develop,
connect, and market products that are grown or otherwise
produced within the region. Our members represent farmers,
value-added food producers, vineyards and wineries,
tourism, the arts, educators, retailers, and more.
Together we seek to strengthen our regional economy while
retaining all that is good, for the benefit of future
generations. We also
encourage visitors to tour the
region, people interested
in learning more about rural America – the unique history of the
region, the cultural flavors, the river and the great outdoors,
and how great fresh foods can taste.
