The Bequette-Ribault House was built in
1778 in Ste. Genevieve.  It is one of the last
five remaining examples of "poteaux en terre"
(post in ground) architecture in the U.S.
Three of the five houses are in Ste. Genevieve, which has the largest collection of original 18th century buildings in the nation.
