at Grace United Methodist Church

Sunday School: With classes for every age child and youth as well as five adult classes, our Sunday School program is the heart of our Christian Education ministry. Yet, Grace United Methodist Church provided many other rich opportunities to grow in the faith.
Christian Believer: A thirty week course on doctrines of the church. Readings are taken from the Bible as well as the greatest Christian theologians. A video presentation is part of each session. Instructor: Dr. Adelaide Parsons. The first series of the course was completed in November 2001 and will be offered late in 2005.

Youth Group: Youth Ministries Coordinator, Joshua Smith, makes sure that the youth learn what it means to live as a follower of Jesus Christ.

Small Group Ministries: Our Small Group Ministry provides persons an opportunity to reflect on Biblical passages and discuss ways in which Christ, the Church, and faith have effected their life. The small group setting also provides an environment where people get to know each other a little better.

Short Term Bible Studies: - Pastor's Advent Bible Study; - Holy Week Bible Study or Lenten Study (last year's study); - Other Studies

Gathering For Children: Both the 8:00 and 10:30 worship services include a Gathering For Children. Children (age 2 to 4th grade) are invited to come to the front of the Sanctuary to join in a special mini children's sermon led by Pastor Scott Moon. Pastor Scott lets the children participate in the experience and leads them in a prayer at the end.

Children's Chapel: Immediately after the "Gathering of the Children". The 20-30 minute Children's Chapel offers the children an opportunity to be in the Lord's presence in the fellowship of other children. Here they create bonds with one another and with God. Parents pick up their children after the worship service before heading home.

Vacation Bible School: Each year Grace UMC holds a week long Vacation Bible School program during the summer. This program is a week full of adventures for the children of Grace to enhance their lifelong journey with the Lord, but it is also an opportunity for the Grace UMC family to reach out to the children in our community and spread God's loving words. Each summer children learn about God's love for them, the Bible, and they participate in a mission project.

Youth Confirmation Classes: Youth explore the meaning of faith, responsibilities of membership, the connectional structure of the United Methodist Church, and what the Bible has to say be Christ.
