Sun. December 7- Hope of Joy to Come
Isaiah 11:1-10
When you see the images of hope of joy to come, the lion and the lamb, Do you wonder why the lions are still winning? It’s because we’re between advents!
Sun. December 14 - Joy of Preparation
John 1:6-8, 19-28
Much of the joy of any event is the preparation that goes into it. As we prepare for Christmas, that is certainly true. But we need to make sure we are preparing the right stuff. Sun. December 21 - Joy of Acceptance
Luke 1:26-38
God has a plan for us, and as we accept the role he gives us, our lives will be filled with joy. While we are struggling to resist the role he has for us, we block our joy

Words from Our Pastor:
Decemberr 1, 2008
Dear Friends,
“Joy to the World, the Lord is come!
Let Earth receive her King!
Let every heart prepare him room,
And heaven and nature sing.”
Applying the words of that familiar Christmas carol can make a big difference in how we fill up our calendars, this December.
As we begin the bustle of Christmas celebrations, Christmas services, Christmas cooking, Christmas programs, Christmas charities, Christmas shopping, Christmas parties, let’s take a moment to look closely at what we are celebrating.
The God of all creation, King of Kings, Lord of Lords, chose to enter our world in the person of Jesus, in the form of a helpless infant. That is the joy we’re celebrating, the huge, limitless love that became the baby in the manger, the sacrifice on the cross, the triumph over death. Joy to the World! The Lord has come! That is what we are celebrating. continued here...
